Despair

Look around at all the happy people,

now count them all on one hand,

Now look at all the hungry

Now count them all if you can.

reality is the world is unhappy,

and to gain joy we grow in greed,

till our gluttonous hearts succeed the capacity of our minds.

and we forget how to give.

there is no hope for a selfish world,

and its a joke to believe we can escape the hold that extravagance has on our hearts.
